My first commission!
The final program cover features artwork I made as part of the commission and is stuck in my studio journal.
A dancer/choreographer approached me last summer (2025) about a commission project! She asked if I would create work that could be scanned or photographed to project during and between pieces in an upcoming performance that would relate to the dances themselves but that could also be their own body of work. I was so honored to be asked, having seen her choreography and performance work before, and was incredibly excited to work with her on the project. As I worked on the commission, I documented the journey and my process, how I thought about and developed the work, and also what the collaboration experience was like.
I used my studio journal to document the process.
